BE PROUD!
Here's what we did in 2002

President's Project

The GFWC Menifee Valley Woman's Club is a non-profit organization, using fund-raising proceeds for improvements to the Community. and charity projects.

Our members volunteer thousands of hours to worthy community projects such as the Sun City Convalescent Center, Menifee Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Crime Watch , Hospice, Chamber of Commerce, Senior Center, Menifee Elementary Teacher's Aid Volunteers, and Sun City Concern.

GFWC offers us six divisions of work with several categories for programs and projects for our activities:  these include Arts, Conservation, Education, Home LIfe, International Affairs and Public Affairs.  Each year our members compete in their chosen program, receiving recognition and awards at both district and state levels.

Also...
We did Christmas for 2 Kinship Families (grandparents raising grandchildren). We coordinated this project through out the community and we had approximately 10 children involved. We asked others to take on a child or a family depending on their revenue, we filled our large pickup completely full of gifts for the children.  President Gayle Lacy coordinated this project, and by and getting all the data on the children knew their favorite colors the toys they wanted and clothes they needed.  The community responded so tremendously that we raised about $3,000. + in gifts for the children.

Hemet Hospice

Office Hours:
Monday through Friday,
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Telephone: (951) 766-9629
www.HemetHospice.org

Hospice is not a building or a place - it’s a concept of care that comes from medieval times. It was originally considered as place of refuge and protection where pilgrims could stop to refresh themselves on their long journeys. Today hospice is a means of care and support of terminally ill patients and their families. This care is a gift of compassionate support and sincere consideration for a terminally ill patient’s well-being as they enter a new season in their life. At Hemet Hospice, we care about our patient’s health, and their heart - how they feel and their feelings. We believe that each and every member of a hospice patient’s family be provided the emotional, spiritual and financial support needed to meet the many challenges they will be facing throughout the changes in their loved one’s journey.

Hemet Hospice was founded in 1979 by a group of compassionate community leaders motivated by a common concern for terminally ill patients and their families. Their focus was on providing hospice patients with the emotional and spiritual support needed during their illnesses. While Hemet Hospice has seen many changes since 1979, we remain the same caring group of individuals. Our Board of Trustees, comprised of community leaders and representatives who volunteer their time and expertise to our organization, live and work in the community we serve. Their expertise and dedication assure that our services and programs exceed the community’s highest expectations.

WE are a non-profit agency providing the non-medical needs of hospice care—the warmth and compassion of hospice care that is shared with hospice patients and their families.
