President's Project

The GFWC Menifee Valley Woman's Club is a non-profit organization, using fund-raising proceeds for improvements to the Community. and charity projects.

Our members volunteer thousands of hours to worthy community projects such as the Sun City Convalescent Center, Menifee Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Crime Watch , Hospice, Chamber of Commerce, Senior Center, Menifee Elementary Teacher's Aid Volunteers, and Sun City Concern.

GFWC offers us six divisions of work with several categories for programs and projects for our activities:  these include Arts, Conservation, Education, Home LIfe, International Affairs and Public Affairs.  Each year our members compete in their chosen program, receiving recognition and awards at both district and state levels.

Thessalonika Family Services
for Abused and Exploited Children

951-302-2317

Children who have suffered abuse and neglect at home have little hope of escaping the pattern of violence and psychological torment that they have lived with from the time they were born. Even if they are removed from an abusive family environment, the journey through rehabilitative services and foster care, while protecting them from violence, may compound the effects of rejection and loneliness. It is not uncommon for children to experience five or more placements before they reach their teenage years. Long-term stability is critical to breaking the cycle of abuse and healing the emotional scars resulting from years of mistreatment.

Thessalonika Family Services is dedicated to its mission of providing quality long-term care and treatment for children needing out-of-home services. Three unique programs are provided through Rancho Jireh Foster Homes, Rancho Damacitas Group Home, and the Transitional Living Program that are designed to address the varying needs of these very special young people.
Thessalonika Family Services (TFS) provides quality long-term care and treatment for children who are needing out-of-home services. The particular needs of these precious children vary. As such, we provide services through three unique programs: Rancho Damacitas, Rancho Jireh Foster Care, and our Transitional Living Program.

Over 24 years ago TFS was started by a couple in the Temecula Valley who had a heart for children in need. They bought one home in Temecula, caring for 6 girls. Over the years TFS has increased to 6 homes, caring for 36 boys and girls at Rancho Damacitas. The children placed within our agency are typically placed by the Department of Social Services (DPSS) and/or Child Protective Services (CPS). Also during these 23 years, Rancho Jireh was born which is our foster care program and roughly provides loving homes for 50 children. Within the last few years our Transitional Living Program has been implemented, which is designed and funded from inside our walls to fill in the gap between emancipation and adulthood. We are licensed to care for children ages 6 through 18 in our group home, Rancho Damacitas, ages 0-18 in our foster care program, Rancho Jireh, and 18 years and older in our Transitional Living Program
